Regina Flores

Regina Flores currently serves as Compliance Manager for Milwaukee Public Schools. Ms. Flores’ professional career has consisted of various leadership roles and responsibilities in both the public and private sector. She holds a Master’s degree from Concordia University and has furthered her educational goals by pursuing a doctorate in education and leadership from Cardinal Stritch University.  She is passionate about community engagement and diversity and inclusion efforts which align to the main aspects of her professional work. She is responsible for monitoring over $195 million annually in district expenditures ensuring contractors and vendors are complying with the district’s contracting processes. Ms. Flores is a champion for historically underutilized businesses and has increased the district’s spend with certified minority and women enterprises with record dollars paid to firms in excess of $26 million annually since 2015. Closer to her heart, Ms. Flores and her team have increased workforce opportunities for MPS high school students and constituents through the Student Engagement Program and Communities In Need initiative. These workforce development programs are designed to engage underrepresented individuals with meaningful employment experiences and career pathway entry points.

In terms of volunteerism, Ms. Flores is mission driven and is actively involved in local organizations like American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Future Milwaukee Scholarship Committee, Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, and Women’s Business Development Center. She believes in the power of collaboration and that together we can provide solutions to overcome challenges affecting our community.
